Like you I was taking Ramipril 5mg for about 2 yr; I develloped a cough quite early on however I contiued to take them for two years my cough got realy bad and I had a tightness in my chest ..I went to the Dr and he changed me onto Amias16mg after about three or four day I started to have pains in my hands and feet as I am 69 I thought it was arthritis and continued with the medication 6 weeks into it the pain was getting so bad I coud’nt grip and limping…I returned to the Dr and again he changed the Tabs for another, Aprovel I am now 4 weeks into these ones and no problems yet .
