I USED VAGIFEM FOR THE FIRST 14 DAYS, FEELING A RELIEF IN THE BURNING AND IRRITATION FROM ATROPHIC VAGINITIS. ON DAY 15 I HAD VULVAR BURNING AGAIN, DAY 16, SKIN MISSING FROM INNER LABIA MINORA, DAY 16 & 17 MORE SKIN MISSING. A LARGE AMOUNT OF OPAQUE GEL WAS DISCHARGED ON DAY 15, AND I FEEL THIS BURNED THE VULVAR AREA AND SETTLED BETWEEN THE LIPS AND BURNED THE SKIN SO THAT IT SLOUGHED OFF. THIS SOUNDS LIKE AN ALLERGIC REACTION. MY DOCTOR SAID I SHOULD HAVE TROUBLE BEFORE 14 DAYS IF IT WAS THE DRUG. CAN YOU GIVE ME ANY HELP. TAKE IT OR NOT???? I AM ON MY 7th DOCTOR FOR VULVADYNIA AND VAGINITIS, AND NO ONE SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO HELP ME. I THOUGHT VAGIFEM WAS THE ANSWER, BUT NOW I AM IN WORSE TROUBLE.
Hi Kathy–Sounds like you are having a terrible time. I also am on a 4th or 5th doctor and find no help.
I too, am having trouble with Vagifem. After a month, started burning in vulva. Thought I was getting a bladder infection. But, after repeated urine tests which were negative, I know it is from the drug. It is inflamation and is very painful, sometimes better and sometimes worse. Guess I cannot tolerate it..very disappointing as I was hoping it would help get rid of recurring bladder infections.
Every time I use Vagifem I have a seizure the next day or two. I’m 64 weigh 132 very active with my horses and Real Estate. I’m dowm to using this product once a week, The Dr. wants me to useit twice a week, yea right.
