I was given Uroxatral by my urologist yesterday. I am a 69 year old woman who had back surgery two months ago and was experiencing difficulty urinating. He gave it to me to relax the sphincter which he thought was in spasm due to all the discomfort of back surgery. I was warned it could cause dizziness so took it after dinner. At midnight I got up to go to the bathroom and passed out in the hall (in my husband’s arms) then again when I got near the toilet and he caught me, laid me down and revived me but I quickly passed out again and had a very had time coming round. He was about to call 911. I finally woke enough to go to the bathroom and he got me back to bed.
