Stillnox has made me anxious, confused, lethargic and has brought on intense mood swings. I’ve only been using it for one week now, and already I feel unstable and if anything - sleepier and stranger than before.
As I’m unable to sleep and have had to resort to sleeping pills to gain sleep - clearly something is already wrong - but these tablets have only intensified and confused my already agitated mental state. I’ve stopped taking Stillnox, because I feel it is NOT a solution. It’s good for one or two nights - but following that, a natural remedy must be found. I’m going to try a Sleep Hypnosis CD.

I had quite an unpleasant experience after taking Stilnox. The only positive side is that it puts me to sleep quickly and reliably but it is not worth the trouble. I’ve suffered quite serious memory loss which is rather scary not knowing what I’ve been doing. Found things in the morning which I could not explain how it happened. Like some clothes from my wardrobe taken off the hangers and neatly folded on a top of table, various things/objects misplaced - I was wondering where it was then found it in rubbish bin for instance - and I would not remember any of it. I would say I’m pretty sure I was not sleepwalking (sleeptidying!) as my boyfriend would surely wake up hearing me walking around moving things, so I’m actually thinking this behaviour must have happened in the morning after I woke up. I did wake up as my alarm clock went off and as usual got up make some tea, then I would go wake up my boyfriend. Now, I do think that somehow I must have fallen asleep or something after getting up and done all these things. Maybe the reason is that I did not have the recommended sleep time (at least 7 hours) so my mind went back to sleep whilst my body was already awake!

When i started taking stilnox i had no recollection of anything that happened 5 mins after taking the tablet, my husband said that i acted strange, i would just eat and eat, ( normally i dont eat much) so my husband noticed straight away, but one night when he was talking to me while i just had a stilnox, i completely could not remember who he was…that scared my husband…..like i had an episode of amnesia….he said i kept saying to him “who are you” and he freaked out….he has forbidden to have those tablets in the house ever again…..that was the last straw for him….he loathes them……thats scary….who knows what could have hapened if my husband had not kept an eye on me………

After taking Stilnox I had trouble to control my behaviour, and just as my boyfriend told me I’ve been walking naked around our neighbourhood ( one out of ton of other things), I realized I must stop taking it. But, since I have such a big trouble sleeping, I LOVE the fact I simply sleep all night with 1/2 of this pill, and I wake up refresh. This is like a never ending story. Sona

Stilnox has been a wonder drug for me as I suffer from sleeplessness and without it I won’t be able to function the next day especially at work. I only take half a tablet and I don’t dink alcohol or take any other drugs with it. I follow the strict instructions and it doesn’t cause me any “groggy” feelings. I know another lady at work and she thinks it’s the best help for insomnia - she also doesn’t take any other medications with it.

I have been taking stilnox for two years. I have a bad back and it aches all night. Stilnox puts me to sleep and I do not seem to feel my back aching. I have had conversations with my husband I can not remember and I get up and eat in the middle of the night which is not something I would normally do. It is the only way I can get up in the morning and go to work. Life without sleep was driving me crazy. The main side effect I have is fogginess, forgetfulness and I worry that I appear slow at work. I seem to worry a lot more about saying and doing something silly.
I don’t drink or take other medications with it.

Hi, I have just looked up Stillnox because I met somebody who reported GOOD SIDE EFFECTS. A friend had rue/arthritis in her mid 30’s suffered a stroke soon after and now nearly 20 yrs later has found that Stillnox causes her paralysed arm to relax and her speech has improved. Just thought I’d let you know. Not sure what else she takes could be an interaction with another med.
