   prescribed metronidazole for tooth complaint after one day felt dizzy, day two pins and needles and numbness in arms and day three severe abdominal pains.taken to hospital then transfered to emergency care unit. after six hours of tests it appeared to be a severe reaction to metronidazole.i will never use this drug again.

   I am deeply indebted to Danny Smith with his comments about metronidazole. I was also prescribed metronidazole for a tooth complaint and after experiencing dizziness and being very unwell with nausea, happened to find his remarks on the net. After taking each tablet my symptoms increased and finally searched the net for some information. I immediately stopped my medication and alerted my Dr who has prescribed anti nausea pills and amoxycillin which have settled my symptoms and the infection has reduced in anticipation of root canals to be performed in a couple of days.

   Metronidazole for a C. diff infection caused high fevor and severe body aches and pains. I want to stay on the drug, but am worried that it will cause some permanent damage
