I’m going through it now, I have so many hives all over me that some parts of me look like I have sunburn. I facilate between thinking “just shoot me know” and “I hope this ends soon, I can get through this.” I itch so much. It’s everywhere. I also developed swollen nodules in the back of my head (near neck) and sides of neck (lymph nodes), had headache, cough, swollen eyes, etc., went to ER last night and they fast tracked me in front of 40 waiting people! gave me prednisone (10 -20mg), z something (?) 2 tables? started with a ‘Z’, 2 benadryls and sent me home with a scrip for Predisone. They tole me drink a lot of water, so I was up all night itching and applying coritzone cream and going to the bathroom. I just took a luke warm bath, but it didn’t help. I’d hate to think how I’d feel if I hadn’t gone to ER, the rash has spread and itching is unbearable. I just lathered tea tree oil all over me having read it on natural health web site. Next I’ll try chamomile tea bags, etc.
I had a bad reaction to Bactrim in 1987-I still don’t have my health back. Now I have asthma and sinusitis, chemical sensitivities and immune problems.
Don’t take this killer drug under ANY circumstances.
Bactrim made my wbc dropp badly. I had all sorts of aches and pains. Since then I developped sensitivity to everything, I can’t take any kind of drug. Carole have you found something that helped with the chemical sensiticity?
