Initially had nausea and dizziness. Months later had joint aches. Still get some nausea when I have just taken the pill but other symptoms have gone away. Although phyically active have gained some weight…about 10-15 lbs. but am still within my BMI with room to spare.

I have been on Arimidex for 22 months. Initially I experienced profound insomnia, some nausea, depression, difficulty thinking, increased appetite and joint pain. I was also taking Lipitor and Aciphex. As time went by, I started an antidepressant, Cymbalta, to counteract the “downer” effects of the Arimidex. I missed my estrogen. Cymbalta helped me get back my brain. As time has gone by, the joint pain has increased requiring a steroid injection in my right shoulder, then my right knee and now I have a tear in the meniscus of my left knee. I went off Arimidex four days ago due to the continued discomfort. I do wonder if taking Lipitor and Arimidex concurrently is an issue. I am hoping that stopping Arimidex will have a positive effect on my meniscus tear and that I will heal soon.
