I was taking the birth control called Marvelon for my acne, and it cleared my skin up beautifully. I went off it for three months, and my skin returned to having occasional breakouts. When I went back to the doctor, he prescribed Apri to me and claimed that it was a generic Marvelon. I;ve been on Apri for almost two months now and my acne is the worst it has ever been in my entire life. My cheeks are covered with painful, recurring pimples. It has spread to my temples and forehead in the past week. The acne has also spread behind my ears and down my neck. I also have acne on my back, which I have never had before. I feel horrible about myself.
