Zosyn side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Nov 19, 2008. Male patient, 38 years of age, weighting 119.0 lb, was diagnosed with wound infection and was treated with Zosyn. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haemoglobin decreased, platelet count decreased, white blood cell count decreased. Zosyn dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with INSULIN, HEPARIN, HYDROMORPHONE, OCTREOTIDE ACETATE. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 94 years of age, weighting 131.1 lb, was diagnosed with staphylococcal infection , urinary tract infection bacterial and was treated with Zosyn. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, bone marrow failure, haemoglobin decreased, iatrogenic injury, myocardial infarction, operative haemorrhage, platelet count decreased. Zosyn dosage: 3.37 MG 1X PER 6 HR, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with TYGACIL, ZYVOX, MEROPENEM, CEFTAZIDIME, LOVENOX. Patient recovered.

Zosyn dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMOXICILLIN AND CLAVULANATE POTASSIUM, LEVOTHYROXINE, DIGOXIN, GLYBURIDE, FUROSEMIDE, FOLIC ACID, ASPIRIN, CARVEDILOL. Patient died on 03/08/2002.
