Zonisamide Side Effects Report #5034566-8
Zonisamide side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on June 14, 2006. Male patient, 85 years of age, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Zonisamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, hepatic function abnormal, liver disorder, oedema peripheral, pneumonia , pulmonary oedema. Zonisamide dosage: 200 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ASPIRIN, HALCION, OPALMON, AMAZOLON, FERROMIA, CLARITHROMYCIN, MUCODYNE, LEFTOSE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, atelectasis, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, blood urine present, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, human herpesvirus 6 infection, pneumonia , toxic epidermal necrolysis. Zonisamide dosage: 300 MG, 1 IN 1 D, ORAL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Zonisamide dosage: 160 MG, 2 IN 1 D, ORAL; SEE IMAGE. During the same period patient was treated with MYSTAN, DEPAKENE, NEORAL. Patient recovered.
