Zonisamide Side Effects Report #5339415-6
Zonisamide side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on May 17, 2007. Male patient, 70 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease  and was treated with Zonisamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: nasopharyngitis, pyrexia, rash , sputum discoloured. Zonisamide dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Zonisamide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CABERGOLINE, MADOPAR, SELEGILINE HYDROCHLORIDE, PERMAX, SYMMETREL, ASPARA K, NEOPHAGEN C. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: eosinophilic pneumonia, headache , lymphocyte stimulation test positive, nasopharyngitis. Zonisamide dosage: 200 MG,ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DEPAKENE, MEIACT, MEDICON, LOXONIN, CELESTAMINE, MUCOSTA, BROCIN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with epilepsy , upper respiratory tract inflammation and was treated with Zonisamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , diarrhoea, enterocolitis haemorrhagic, erythema multiforme, hypoalbuminaemia, nasopharyngitis, respiratory failure. Zonisamide dosage: 200 MG, 2 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LEVOFLOXACIN, AMLODIPINE BESYLATE, DIAZEPAM, TOCLASE, PREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/03/2006.
