Zonisamide Side Effects Report #5120070-5
Zonisamide side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Sept 19, 2006. Male patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Zonisamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, diarrhoea, disseminated intravascular coagulation, flatulence, haemodialysis, hypersensitivity, hyponatraemia, multi-organ failure. Zonisamide dosage: 200 MG, 2 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ADALAT, VALPROATE, PHENOBARBITAL, ALLELOCK, HOMOCLOMIN, LASIX, PREDNISOLONE. Patient died on 07/08/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hepatic function abnormal, hypersensitivity, rash , viral infection . Zonisamide dosage: 100 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with FAMOTIDINE, MUCOSTA, BUFFERIN, CEFDINIR, ALLELOCK. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
