Zonisamide Side Effects Report #4954421-9
Zonisamide side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Mar 14, 2006. Male patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with epilepsy , upper respiratory tract inflammation and was treated with Zonisamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , diarrhoea, enterocolitis haemorrhagic, erythema multiforme, hypoalbuminaemia, nasopharyngitis, respiratory failure. Zonisamide dosage: 200 MG, 2 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with LEVOFLOXACIN, AMLODIPINE BESYLATE, DIAZEPAM, TOCLASE, PREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 03/03/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, anorexia, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood pressure decreased, diarrhoea, disseminated intravascular coagulation, eosinophilia, flatulence, haemodialysis. Zonisamide dosage: 200 MG, 2 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ADALAT, VALPROATE, PHENOBARBITAL, ALLELOCK, HOMOCLOMIN, LASIX, PREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/08/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, diarrhoea, disseminated intravascular coagulation, flatulence, haemodialysis, hypersensitivity, hyponatraemia, multi-organ failure. Zonisamide dosage: 200 MG, 2 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ADALAT, VALPROATE, PHENOBARBITAL, ALLELOCK, HOMOCLOMIN, LASIX, PREDNISOLONE. Patient died on 07/08/2006.

Zonisamide dosage: 200 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with AMLODIPINE BESYLATE, CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL, GASMOTIN, AMOBAN, BASEN, LIPITOR, AMARYL, METFORMIN HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
