Zonisamide side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on June 23, 2008. Female patient, 71 years of age, weighting 101.0 lb, was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia  and was treated with Zonisamide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agranulocytosis, candidiasis, haemolysis, neutrophil count decreased, stomatitis, streptococcal infection , thrombocytopenia. Zonisamide dosage: 900 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with AMITRIPTYLINE, MEILAX, SOLANAX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
