Zonegran and dysphagia Patient Reports February 10, 2012

Zonegran Side Effects Report #5201173-3
Zonegran side effect was reported by a Health Professional from JAPAN on Dec 27, 2006. Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease , abnormal behaviour and was treated with Zonegran. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, aggression, anaemia, aphagia, body temperature decreased, crepitations, depressed level of consciousness, dysphagia, dysuria. Zonegran dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with RISPERDAL, PARLODEL, NEODOPASOL, DOPS, ARTANE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/20/2006.

Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease , abnormal behaviour and was treated with Zonegran. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, aggression, aphagia, condition aggravated, depressed level of consciousness, dysphagia, hallucination, pneumonia aspiration, sedation. Zonegran dosage: 25 MG, 1 IN 1 D, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with RISPERDAL, PARLODEL, NEODOPASOL, DOPS, ARTANE, CABERGOLINE, SEDIEL, EVIPROSTAT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 79 years of age, was diagnosed with parkinson's disease , abnormal behaviour and was treated with Zonegran. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, aphagia, depressed level of consciousness, dysphagia, hallucination, malnutrition, multi-organ failure, pneumonia , pneumonia aspiration. Zonegran dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with RISPERDAL, PARLODEL, NEODOPASOL, DOPS, ARTANE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/01/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, aggression, anaemia, aphagia, blood pressure abnormal, depressed level of consciousness, dysphagia, hallucination, heart rate decreased. Zonegran dosage: 25 MG, 1 IN 1 D, ORAL, SEE IMAGE. During the same period patient was treated with RISPERDAL, PARLODEL, NEODOPASOL, DOPS, ARTANE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/20/2006.

Zonegran side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Oct 12, 2007. Male patient, 24 years of age, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Zonegran. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abasia, aggression, agitation, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood pressure fluctuation, dysphagia, incontinence, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, salivary hypersecretion. Zonegran dosage: 160 MG, ORAL, GRADUAL INCREASE FROM 160MG TO 300MG; ORAL, 300MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with CARBAMAZEPINE, RISPERIDONE, CLONAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, agitation, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood pressure fluctuation, complex partial seizures, dysphagia, epilepsy , heart rate increased. Zonegran dosage: 160 MG, ORAL ; 200 MG, ORAL ; 250 MG, ORAL ; ORAL ; 200 MG, ORAL ; ORAL ; 300 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with TEGRETOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aggression, blood pressure fluctuation, diarrhoea, dysphagia, heart rate irregular, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, somnolence, torticollis. Zonegran dosage: 160 MG, ORAL; 200 MG, ORAL; 250 MG,ORAL; 200 MG, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with TEGRETOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
