Zoledronate Side Effects Report #5920624-X
Zoledronate side effect was reported by a Physician from SAUDI ARABIA on Oct 09, 2008. Male patient, weighting 92.59 lb, was diagnosed with prostate cancer , hypertension and was treated with Zoledronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abscess jaw, acute myocardial infarction, cardio-respiratory arrest, chest discomfort, chest pain , chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, dyspnoea, erythema, hypercapnia. Zoledronate dosage: 4 MG, QW4. During the same period patient was treated with CALCIUM, VITAMIN D, ATENOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/24/2008.

Male patient, 78 years of age, weighting 160.9 lb, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma  and was treated with Zoledronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abscess jaw, abscess rupture, blood creatine increased, bone debridement, erythema, lymphadenopathy, osteomyelitis, osteonecrosis , renal failure. Zoledronate dosage: 4MG EVERY 3-4 WEEKS. During the same period patient was treated with CLODRONATE DI, THALIDOMIDE, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, DEXAMETHASONE, MELPHALAN, PREDNISOLONE, DARBEPOETIN ALFA. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 45 years of age, was diagnosed with metastases to bone, breast cancer , hypertension, insomnia, anxiety  and was treated with Zoledronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: breast mass, catheter placement, catheter related infection, chills, diarrhoea, erythema, fatigue, lip pain, lymph node pain. Zoledronate dosage: 4 MG, TIW. During the same period patient was treated with EPIRUBICIN, TAXOTERE, COZAAR, AMBIEN, ATIVAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with VITAMIN D, CALCIUM, OLICARD, BISOPROLOL FUMARATE. Patient recovered.
