Zoledronate Side Effects Report #4913574-9
Zoledronate side effect was reported by a Health Professional from AUSTRALIA on Feb 07, 2006. Female patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma  and was treated with Zoledronate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bence jones protein urine present, blood creatinine increased, blood magnesium decreased, confusional state, creatinine renal clearance decreased, electrocardiogram qt prolonged, hyperparathyroidism, hypocalcaemia, malaise. Zoledronate dosage: 4 MG, QMO. During the same period patient was treated with MELPHALAN, PREDNISOLONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Zoledronate dosage: 4MG EVERY 3 WEEKS. During the same period patient was treated with DEXAMETHASONE, THALIDOMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute myocardial infarction, atrioventricular block first degree, blood creatinine increased, brain natriuretic peptide increased, cardiac failure congestive, chest discomfort, dilatation atrial, dyspnoea, ejection fraction decreased. Zoledronate dosage: 4 MG, QMO. During the same period patient was treated with CALCIUM GLUCONATE, VITAMIN D, ASPIRIN, COREG, TRICOR, FOLTX, LASIX, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
