Zidovudine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from FRANCE on Aug 20, 2007. Female patient, 49 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Zidovudine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cholestasis, cytolytic hepatitis, hepatic failure, hepatosplenomegaly, hepatotoxicity, portal hypertension, thrombocytopenia, vascular purpura. Zidovudine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIDANOSINE, NEVIRAPINE, ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE. Patient recovered.
