Male patient, 61 years of age, weighting 154.3 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection  and was treated with Ziagen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, gallbladder disorder, hepatic failure, hepatic necrosis, hepatitis , jaundice , liver function test abnormal, liver tenderness, malaise. Ziagen dosage: 300MG TWICE PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with VIRAMUNE, REYATAZ, NORVIR, DIPHENOXYLATE, GEMFIBROZIL, GABAPENTIN, BUPROPION, TRAZODONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
