Ziagen Side Effects Report #5201010-7
Ziagen side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Dec 29, 2006. Male patient, 67 years of age, was diagnosed with hiv infection , gastritis and was treated with Ziagen. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, cholecystitis acute, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hepatic enzyme increased, herpes zoster, immune reconstitution syndrome, pyrexia. Ziagen dosage: 600MG PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with RETROVIR, STOCRIN, KALETRA, SELBEX, MECOBALAMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, alopecia, arthralgia, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase decreased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, headache , malaise. Ziagen dosage: 600MG PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with EPIVIR, KALETRA, VALGANCICLOVIR, ULCERLMIN, NITRAZEPAM, AMOBAN, TRUVADA. Patient recovered.
