Zavesca side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from SPAIN on Nov 22, 2006. Female patient, child 7 years of age, weighting 55.12 lb, was diagnosed with niemann-pick disease and was treated with Zavesca. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: disease progression, hypometabolism, niemann-pick disease, precocious puberty. Zavesca dosage: 50 MG, TID, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with TEGRETOL. Patient recovered.

Male patient, child 3 years of age, was diagnosed with niemann-pick disease and was treated with Zavesca. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory failure, disease progression, febrile convulsion, niemann-pick disease. Zavesca dosage: 100 MG, TID, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with DIAZEPAM. Patient died on 09/26/2007.
