Zanaflex side effect was reported by a Physician from on Mar 09, 2005. Male patient, 51 years of age, weighting 176.4 lb, was diagnosed with pain , constipation , neuralgia, depression , muscle spasms and was treated with Zanaflex. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: akinesia, anxiety , back pain , blood pressure increased, cerebral infarction, cerebrovascular accident, coronary artery disease , dilatation atrial. Zanaflex dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with SENOKOT, VIOXX, MS CONTIN, NEURONTIN, EFFEXOR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 27 years of age, weighting 126.5 lb, was diagnosed with muscle spasms, sickle cell anaemia and was treated with Zanaflex. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthmatic crisis, back pain , sickle cell anaemia with crisis, white blood cell count increased. Zanaflex dosage: 4 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with MEDROL, ALEVE, ROBAXIN, FOLIC ACID, EXJADE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain upper, alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, back pain , gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, nausea , treatment noncompliance. Zanaflex dosage: 4 MG QAM, 12-20 MG Q PM. During the same period patient was treated with PANTOPRAZOLE, SENNA, MYLANTA, HYDROMORPHONE, DOCUSATE, METHADONE, GABAPENTIN, ONDANSETRON. Patient recovered.
