Female patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema and was treated with Xopenex. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrial fibrillation , cardiac failure, cardiac failure congestive, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypomagnesaemia, leukocytosis, malaise, nasopharyngitis, oedema peripheral. Xopenex dosage: 1.25 MG/3ML; 1X; INHALATION, 0.63 MG/3ML; TID; INHALATION. During the same period patient was treated with ALBUTEROL, DIGOXIN, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, DILTIAZEM, FUROSEMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
