Xifaxan Side Effects Report #6018776-9
Xifaxan side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Dec 16, 2008. Female patient, 85 years of age, weighting 100.0 lb, was diagnosed with gastrointestinal bacterial infection, overgrowth bacterial and was treated with Xifaxan. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, diarrhoea, faecal incontinence, head injury, hypophagia, insomnia. Xifaxan dosage: FOR 7 DAYS EACH MONTH (200 MG, 3 IN 1 D), ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PANCREATIC ENZYMES, TINCTURE OF OPIUM, LEVOTHYROXINE, DARBEPOETIN ALFA, METOPROLOL, LPERAMIDE, VICODIN. Patient died on 12/14/2008.
