Voriconazole side effect was reported by a Physician from GERMANY on Jan 30, 2006. Male patient, 75 years of age, was diagnosed with fungal infection  and was treated with Voriconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, aortic valve incompetence, brain abscess, condition aggravated, disseminated intravascular coagulation, disturbance in attention, haemodialysis, metastatic neoplasm, multi-organ failure. Voriconazole dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FLUCLOXACILLIN, FOSFOMYCIN, GENTAMICIN SULPHATE, MEROPENEM. Patient died.

During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, METHYLPREDNISOLONE, PANTOPRAZOLE, LINEZOLID, ACYCLOVIR, OCTREOTIDE ACETATE, MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL, GABAPENTIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B, VANCOMYCIN, MOXIFLOXACIN, PREDNISONE, LEPIRUDIN, MAGNESIUM SULPHATE, ERYTHROMYCIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/21/2005.
