Vidaza Side Effects Report #4635665-2
Vidaza side effect was reported by a Physician from on Mar 31, 2005. Female patient, 83 years of age, weighting 118.5 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Vidaza. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, anaemia, coma, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, myoclonus, neuropathy, thrombocytopenia, white blood cell count decreased. Vidaza dosage: 115 MG, SUBCUTAENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with THALOMID, VERAPAMIL, ASPIRIN, DILANTIN, OCUVITE, ZANTAC, PULMICORT, ATROVENT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/30/2004.

Female patient, 76 years of age, weighting 154.1 lb, was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome and was treated with Vidaza. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , acute myocardial infarction, breast cancer female, coagulopathy, disseminated intravascular coagulation, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, gastrointestinal necrosis, haematemesis, hypotension. Vidaza dosage: 170 MG DAILY X 5 DAYS EVERY 28 DAYS IV. During the same period patient was treated with NORVASC, SYNTHROID, VIT D, EVISTA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/22/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspartate aminotransferase increased, chills, disseminated intravascular coagulation, flank pain, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, haematuria, haemodialysis, haemoglobin decreased, hyperbilirubinaemia. Vidaza dosage: 75 MG/M2 (175 MG, DAILY), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with MIRAPEX, CLONAZEPAM, COREG, ALTACE, ASPIRIN, ADVAIR, MAXAIR, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE. Patient died on 01/07/2005.

Vidaza dosage: 75 MG/M2 (175 MG, DAILY), SUBCUTANEOUS. During the same period patient was treated with ANZEMET, AVANDIA, ZOCOR, MIRAPEX, CLONAZEPAM, COREG, ASPIRIN, ADVAIR DISKUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/10/2005.
