Vesanoid Side Effects Report #5002027-8
Vesanoid side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on May 11, 2006. Female patient, 75 years of age, weighting 144.0 lb, was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia and was treated with Vesanoid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: heart rate irregular, pulmonary oedema. Vesanoid dosage: 40 MG Q AM , 30 MG Q PM. During the same period patient was treated with LASIX, DILTIAZEM, LANOXIN, ALLOPURINOL, LEVAQUIN, DIFLUCAN, ZOFRABN, VALACYCLOVIR. Patient recovered.

Vesanoid side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from AUSTRALIA on Dec 19, 2005. Female patient, child 9 years of age, weighting 77.16 lb, was diagnosed with agranulocytosis and was treated with Vesanoid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: disseminated intravascular coagulation, haemodialysis, multi-organ failure, pulmonary oedema, respiratory distress. Vesanoid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ROCEPHIN, METHOTREXATE, TARGOCID, DAUNORUBICIN, CYTARABINE, VANCOMYCIN HYDROCHLORIDE, TOBRAMYCIN, ALLOPURINOL. Patient died on 04/12/2004.
