Vesanoid Side Effects Report #5109877-8
Vesanoid side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Sept 19, 2006. Female patient, child 6 years of age, weighting 44.09 lb, was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukaemia and was treated with Vesanoid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: benign intracranial hypertension, circulatory collapse, dyspnoea, hypoxia, mental status changes, tachycardia, urine output decreased. Vesanoid dosage: 10 MG BID ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with FLUCONAZOLE, BACTRIM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Vesanoid side effect was reported by a Health Professional from SPAIN on Apr 30, 2008. Male patient, 67 years of age, was treated with Vesanoid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, dyspnoea, lung infiltration, pyrexia, retinoic acid syndrome. Vesanoid dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 08/24/2007.

Vesanoid side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from CANADA on Nov 16, 2006. Male patient, 42 years of age, weighting 176.4 lb, was treated with Vesanoid. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , atrial fibrillation , blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, cerebrovascular accident, crepitations, dyspnoea, haemodialysis, haemorrhage. Vesanoid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROMORPHONE, HUMULIN, ALLOPURINOL, ACETAMINOPHEN, NYSTATIN, PIPERACILLIN AND TAZOBACTAM, MORPHINE. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, dyspnoea, hypotension, pyrexia, renal failure acute, retinoic acid syndrome, rhabdomyolysis, transaminases increased. Vesanoid dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DAUNORUBICIN, CYTARABINE. Patient recovered.
