Venlafaxine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from SPAIN on Feb 20, 2008. Female patient, 37 years of age, was diagnosed with psychiatric symptom, epilepsy  and was treated with Venlafaxine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: confusional state, contusion, depression , epilepsy , head injury, hyperhidrosis, hypertonia, hyponatraemia. Venlafaxine dosage: 150 MG. During the same period patient was treated with LAMOTRIGINE, CARBAMAZEPINE, PHENOBARBITAL, LEVETIRACETAM, ALPRAZOLAM, MIRTAZAPINE, PRAVASTATIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Venlafaxine dosage: 150 MG, 37.5 MG THREE TIMES DAILY; GRADUALLY DECREASED FROM 150 MG, TO 75 MG AND FINALLY TO 37.5 MG. During the same period patient was treated with FLUOXETINE, DULOXETINE. Patient recovered.
