Vecuronium side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Apr 10, 2007. Female patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia and was treated with Vecuronium. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaesthetic complication, hypoventilation, hypoxia, laryngeal oedema. Vecuronium dosage: 6 MG ONCE INTRAVENOUS (NOS). During the same period patient was treated with PROPOFOL, PENTAZOCINE LACTATE, ATROPINE, SEVOFLURANE, CEFAZOLIN. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 17 years of age, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia and was treated with Vecuronium. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: airway complication of anaesthesia, asthma , bronchospasm, hypoventilation. Vecuronium dosage: 5 MG ONCE INTRAVENOUS (NOS). During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM HYDROCHLORIDE, KETAMINE, FENTANYL CITRATE, SEVOFLURANE, FLUTICASONE PROPIONATE, SALMETEROL XINAFOATE, HYDROCORTISONE SUCCINATE. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with FENTANYL, PROPOFOL. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: delayed recovery from anaesthesia, hypoventilation, metastases to liver, neuromuscular block prolonged. Vecuronium dosage: 8 MG ONCE/2 MG ONCE/2 MG ONCE/2 MG ONCE/1 MG ONCE. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANYL CITRATE, PROPOFOL, FUROSEMIDE, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, FAMOTIDINE. Patient died.
