Female patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with grand mal convulsion and was treated with Valproate. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , coma, diarrhoea, hepatic failure, hypotension, nausea , nosocomial infection, pneumonia , respiratory failure.
