Valacyclovir Side Effects Report #5119610-1
Valacyclovir side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Nov 27, 2002. Female patient, 77 years of age, weighting 91.49 lb, was diagnosed with herpes zoster, gastric ulcer and was treated with Valacyclovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatinine increased, blood urea increased, decreased appetite, depressed level of consciousness, dysarthria, fall , incoherent, laceration, nausea . Valacyclovir dosage: 1000MG TWICE PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with LORCAM, VALSARTAN, FUROSEMIDE, FERROUS CITRATE, LORNOXICAM, OMEPRAZOLE, TEPRENONE, MECOBALAMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, azotaemia, blood creatinine increased, blood potassium increased, blood pressure decreased, blood urea increased, depressed level of consciousness, dysarthria, haematocrit decreased. Valacyclovir dosage: 2500MG PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with INSULIN, CANDESARTAN CILEXETIL, DICLOFENAC, RANITIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE, REBAMIPIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
