Valacyclovir side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from FRANCE on July 15, 2008. Female patient, 80 years of age, was diagnosed with herpes zoster, meningoencephalitis herpetic and was treated with Valacyclovir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, blood creatinine increased, culture urine positive, electroencephalogram abnormal, hypotonia, incoherent, partial seizures, renal failure acute. Valacyclovir dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ZOLOFT, EQUANIL, MEMANTINE, ZESTRIL, HEMIGOXINE NATIVELLE, PLAVIX, NITRODERM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Valacyclovir dosage: 1000MG TWICE PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with LORCAM, VALSARTAN, FUROSEMIDE, FERROUS CITRATE, LORNOXICAM, OMEPRAZOLE, TEPRENONE, MECOBALAMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
