Unasyn and cardiac failure Patient Reports February 13, 2012

Unasyn Side Effects Report #4692201-2
Unasyn side effect was reported by a Physician from on June 02, 2005. Male patient, 77 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia  and was treated with Unasyn. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, cardiac failure, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hepatic function abnormal. Unasyn dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FULCALIQ, FAMOTIDINE. Patient died on 05/28/2005.

Unasyn side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on July 26, 2005. Female patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia , cardiac failure, diarrhoea and was treated with Unasyn. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agranulocytosis, cardiac failure. Unasyn dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with MINOCYCLINE, ACARDI, BIOFERMIN R, PRIMAXIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 74 years of age, weighting 110.0 lb, was diagnosed with pancreatitis, pyrexia, systemic candida, large intestine carcinoma, sepsis  and was treated with Unasyn. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, loss of consciousness, sepsis , staphylococcal infection , systemic candida, ventricular fibrillation. Unasyn dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PRODIF, IRINOTECAN, FLUOROURACIL, MEROPENEM, PAZUFLOXACIN, CIPROFLOXACIN HYDROCHLORIDE, VANCOMYCIN HYDROCHLORID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/23/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute myocardial infarction, cardiac failure, coronary artery stenosis, gastric ulcer haemorrhage, multi-organ failure, renal failure, sepsis , toxic epidermal necrolysis. Unasyn dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CEFAZOLIN, RIFADIN, ISONIAZID, ESANBUTOL, BASEN, EUGLUCON, DOPAMINE, DOBUTREX. Patient died on 08/04/2004.
