Tygacil side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on June 13, 2007. Female patient, 22 years of age, was diagnosed with staphylococcal infection  and was treated with Tygacil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, chest pain , heart rate increased, pyrexia, vomiting. Tygacil dosage: 50 MG. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 22 years of age, weighting 214.2 lb, was diagnosed with staphylococcal infection , breakthrough pain, muscle spasms and was treated with Tygacil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, chest pain , heart rate increased, pyrexia, vomiting. Tygacil dosage: 50 MG. During the same period patient was treated with ZOFRAN, ACTIQ, BACLOFEN, LORAZEPAM, BENADRYL, MS CONTIN. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 29 years of age, weighting 330.7 lb, was diagnosed with peritonitis, escherichia infection, enterococcal infection, antifungal prophylaxis and was treated with Tygacil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal wall abscess, condition aggravated, pyrexia, underdose. Tygacil dosage: 100 MG IN THE MORNING (11.00 A.M.) AND 50 MG AT MIDNIGHT. During the same period patient was treated with GENTAMICIN, FLUCONAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
