Tygacil Side Effects Report #5069140-0
Tygacil side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on July 18, 2006. Female patient, 40 years of age, weighting 81.57 lb, was diagnosed with staphylococcal infection  and was treated with Tygacil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood urea decreased, eosinophil percentage increased, haematocrit decreased, international normalised ratio increased, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia. Tygacil dosage: 50 MG 2X PER 1 DAY, INTRAVENOUS BOLUS. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN, PROTONIX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Tygacil dosage: 50 MG 2X PER 1 DAY, INTRAVENOUS BOLUS. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN, PROTONIX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Tygacil dosage: 100MG LOADING THEN 50 MG Q12. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
