Tranylcypromine side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from NETHERLANDS on Feb 28, 2007. Male patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with depression
and was treated with Tranylcypromine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: depressed level of consciousness, metabolic acidosis, myoclonic epilepsy, respiratory failure, rhabdomyolysis, serotonin syndrome. Tranylcypromine dosage: 30 MG TWICE PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with VENLAFAXINE, RISPERIDONE, OXAZEPAM, CARBASPIRIN CALCIUM, VITAMIN B CAP. Patient was hospitalized. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: akathisia, depressed level of consciousness, hyperkalaemia, hyperreflexia, hypertension, hypertonia, metabolic acidosis, myoclonic epilepsy, pyrexia. Tranylcypromine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VENLAFAXINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
