Tofranil side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Apr 04, 2008. Female patient, 40 years of age, was diagnosed with depression  and was treated with Tofranil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure decreased, cardiac arrest , clonic convulsion, electrocardiogram abnormal, electrocardiogram qrs complex prolonged, electromechanical dissociation, heart rate decreased, intentional overdose. Tofranil dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood alkaline phosphatase increased, cardiac failure, cardiomegaly, coronary artery stenosis, dilatation ventricular, dyspnoea, ejection fraction decreased, electrocardiogram abnormal, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased. Tofranil dosage: 25 MG, 2 TABLETS TID. During the same period patient was treated with PLETAL, GASTER, PROTHIADEN, DIURETICS, ANGIOTENSIN II, LENDORMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
