Tofranil Side Effects Report #5972971-3
Tofranil side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from JAPAN on Nov 25, 2008. Female patient, 77 years of age, was diagnosed with pollakiuria and was treated with Tofranil. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure, parkinson's disease . Tofranil dosage: 25 MG/DAY. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/16/2008.

During the same period patient was treated with PLETAL, FAMOTIDINE, PROTHIADEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Tofranil dosage: 225 MG/D. During the same period patient was treated with AMOXAPINE, PAROXETINE HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, cardiac failure, chest x-ray abnormal, congestive cardiomyopathy, cough, dyspnoea exertional. Tofranil dosage: 25 MG, TID. During the same period patient was treated with ANAFRANIL, TRYPTANOL, TETRAMIDE, LIMAS, UBRETID, TOLEDOMIN, HALCION, MYSLEE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
