Tipranavir Side Effects Report #5071884-1
Tipranavir side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Dec 17, 2002. Male patient, weighting 162.9 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection , staphylococcal infection , cellulitis , gout  and was treated with Tipranavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspiration, cardiomegaly, convulsion, haemodialysis, nephrolithiasis, nephropathy, pancytopenia, pulmonary oedema, renal failure. Tipranavir dosage: TIPRANAVIR 1000MG/RITONAVIR 400MG. During the same period patient was treated with ENFUVIRTIDE, CIPROFLOXACIN, ALLOPURINOL, LOTENSIN, ATENOLOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/26/2002.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: convulsion, dementia , depression , mental status changes, psychotic disorder . Tipranavir dosage: TPV 1000MG/RTV 400MG. During the same period patient was treated with EPIVIR, VIREAD, FUZEON. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
