Tipranavir Side Effects Report #5306335-2
Tipranavir side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from ARGENTINA on Aug 30, 2006. Male patient, weighting 129.0 lb, was diagnosed with hiv infection , antifungal prophylaxis and was treated with Tipranavir. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , ascites, blood lactic acid increased, colitis, dehydration, diarrhoea, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, hypoxia, intestinal perforation. Tipranavir dosage: TPV1000 MG/RT400 MG PER DAY. During the same period patient was treated with TENOFOVIR, LAMIVUDINE, DIDANOSINE, TRIMETHOPRIM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 05/28/2006.
