Tigecycline side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from MEXICO on Mar 03, 2006. Female patient, 75 years of age, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Tigecycline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: encephalopathy, jaundice . Tigecycline dosage: 100 MG LOAD, 50 MG EVERY 12 HOURS, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with BISOPROLOL FUMARATE, INSULIN, AMIKACIN, CIPROFLOXACIN, CEFTRIAXONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Tigecycline dosage: 100 MG ONCE THEN 50 MG EVERY 12 HOURS. During the same period patient was treated with NEFOPAM, PERFALGAN, MORPHINE. Patient recovered.

Tigecycline dosage: 50 MG Q 12 HOURS IV. Patient recovered.
