Tigecycline side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UKRAINE on June 27, 2005. Male patient, 65 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia  and was treated with Tigecycline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dyspnoea, hyperhidrosis, hypertension, infusion related reaction, nausea , pain , palpitations, pyrexia. Tigecycline dosage: 100MG LOAD, THEN 50 MG EVERY 12 HOURS INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with CEFTRIAXONE, NITROXOLINE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, band neutrophil count increased, chills, dyspnoea, haemoglobin decreased, hyperhidrosis, hypertension, infusion related reaction, nausea . Tigecycline dosage: 100 MG LOAD THEN 50 MG EVERY 12 HOURS. During the same period patient was treated with CEFTRIAXONE, NITROXOLINE. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 80 years of age, weighting 250.4 lb, was diagnosed with localised infection and was treated with Tigecycline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abasia, asthenia, dyspnoea, feeling abnormal, fluid overload, impaired healing, infected skin ulcer, lethargy, purulence. Tigecycline dosage: 100 MG X1 THEN 50 MG Q12H IVPB. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, blood electrolytes abnormal, dyspnoea, hepatic enzyme increased, hyperbilirubinaemia, impaired healing, jaundice , nausea , oedema. Tigecycline dosage: 50 MG Q 12 HOURS IV. Patient recovered.
