Tigecycline Side Effects Report #5410066-8
Tigecycline side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on July 30, 2007. Male patient, weighting 167.2 lb, was diagnosed with diabetic foot infection, coronary artery disease , hypercholesterolaemia, diabetes mellitus, implantable defibrillator insertion, hypertension and was treated with Tigecycline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood chloride decreased, blood glucose increased, carbon dioxide increased, dehydration, prothrombin time prolonged, renal failure acute, streptococcal bacteraemia. Tigecycline dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DILTIAZEM, DIGITEK, FUROSEMIDE, VYTORIN, BUMETANIDE, GLYCOPYRROLATE, COUMADIN, METOPROLOL SUCCINATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dehydration, electrocardiogram qt corrected interval prolonged, electrocardiogram qt prolonged. Tigecycline dosage: 50 MG EVERY 12 HOURS IV. During the same period patient was treated with DOFETILIDE, NORVASC, LIPITOR, TYLENOL, BENADRYL, ADVAIR DISKUS. Patient recovered.
