Tigecycline side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from CROATIA (local name: Hrvatska) on Sept 05, 2006. Female patient, 80 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia
and was treated with Tigecycline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, cardiac failure, multi-organ failure, septic shock, thrombocytopenia. Tigecycline dosage: 100 MG LOAD, THEN 50 MG TWICE DAILY INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with DIAZEPAM, FUROSEMIDE, RANITIDINE, DIGOXIN, VERAPAMIL. Tigecycline dosage: 100 MG LOAD, THEN 50 MG TWICE DAILY INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with DIAZEPAM, FUROSEMIDE, RANITIDINE, DIGOXIN, VERAPAMIL. Patient was hospitalized.
