Tigecycline side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 05, 2009. Female patient, 64 years of age, was diagnosed with wound infection, acinetobacter infection, evidence based treatment and was treated with Tigecycline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acinetobacter infection, wound infection. Tigecycline dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with IMIPENEM AND CILASTATIN, IMIPENEM AND CILASTATIN. Patient died.

Female patient, 80 years of age, was diagnosed with pneumonia  and was treated with Tigecycline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acinetobacter infection, anaemia, aspiration tracheal, blood culture positive, cardiac failure, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, monocyte percentage decreased, multi-organ failure. Tigecycline dosage: 100 MG LOAD, THEN 50 MG TWICE DAILY INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with DIAZEPAM, FUROSEMIDE, RANITIDINE, DIGOXIN, VERAPAMIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
