Tigecycline side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from CANADA on Aug 18, 2006. Male patient, 48 years of age, was diagnosed with large intestine perforation and was treated with Tigecycline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal abscess, gastrointestinal stoma complication, peritonitis. Tigecycline dosage: 100 MG LOADING DOSE FOLLOWED BY 50 MG EVERY 12 HOURS INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with HEPARIN, GRAVOL. Patient recovered.
