Ticlopidine and hepatocellular damage Patient Reports February 12, 2012

Ticlopidine Side Effects Report #5452937-2
Ticlopidine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from FRANCE on Sept 05, 2007. Male patient, 77 years of age, was diagnosed with coronary arterial stent insertion, angina pectoris, hypertension, arteriosclerosis obliterans, renal failure chronic and was treated with Ticlopidine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood alkaline phosphatase increased, cholestasis, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hepatocellular damage, hyperbilirubinaemia, toxic epidermal necrolysis, transaminases increased. Ticlopidine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, ASPIRIN, MICARDIS, ALLOPURINOL, ANPLAG, LASIX, DOXAZOSIN MESYLATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 06/27/2007.

Male patient, 90 years of age, was diagnosed with cerebral infarction, atrial fibrillation , cardiac failure congestive and was treated with Ticlopidine. During the same period patient was treated with DIGOXIN, FUROSEMIDE, SPIRONOLACTONE. Patient died on 02/05/2007.

Ticlopidine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with YAKULT, ALFACALCIDOL, AMLODIPINE BESYLATE, DRINK NOS. Patient recovered.

Ticlopidine dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NITRATES, METOPROLOL TARTRATE, RAMIPRIL, AMLODIPINE, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT, VALSARTAN, DOXAZOSIN MESYLATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
