Thiopental side effect was reported by a Health Professional from INDIA on Jan 14, 2009. Male patient, child 7 years of age, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia and was treated with Thiopental. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, hyperkalaemia, hyperphosphataemia, hypocalcaemia, metabolic acidosis, peritoneal dialysis, renal impairment, supraventricular extrasystoles, tumour lysis syndrome. Thiopental dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANYL, VECURONIUM BROMIDE, NITROUS OXIDE W, ISOFLURANE, CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE, ETOPOSIDE, DOXORUBICIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
