Theophylline side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Apr 07, 2008. Male patient, 80 years of age, was treated with Theophylline. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, abdominal pain upper, atrial tachycardia, blood bicarbonate decreased, blood glucose increased, blood lactic acid increased, blood urea increased, breath sounds abnormal, confusional state. Theophylline dosage: 200 MG TID. During the same period patient was treated with DYAZIDE, AZATHIOPRINE, MECLIZINE, ALBUTEROL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
